Roller brake, a parking brake device for belt conveyors, is installed separately on the low-speed shaft of the reducer to brake the transmission drum during parking.
The roller backstop is designed using a single sided gear and a roller. Under normal conditions, it can rotate normally along the direction of the gearbox, but when the belt reverses due to an accident, the backstop prevents the gearbox from reversing.
In order to prevent reverse or smooth operation of the inclined belt conveyor during loaded parking, a backstop or braking device is added according to the specific situation after calculating the braking torque. Roller backstop is suitable for the head drum and is driven by a reducer. It has a larger power and drum diameter, and the reducer is above ZQ65. It is more suitable for upward conveying of belt conveyors with an inclination angle of ≤ 18 degrees. Its advantages are fast backstop and small reverse distance, making it the preferred backstop for large and medium angle conveyors. Widely used in fields such as gear reducers, coking plants, transportation machinery, conveyors, elevators, electric drums, and other mechanical equipment that require backstop requirements.
